Job DescriptionCompany Description
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to work in both the front and back office for an individual Concierge Physician. You will perform routine clerical assignments to keep the medical practice running smoothly, and occasional clinical duties.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and escort patients to exam room
- Effectively communicate with patients using clear, professional language
- Coordinate referrals for patients
- Generate lab requisitions, draw specimen from patient and prepare specimens for laboratory
- File reports in traditional paper charts
- Assist with clinical tasks to support the doctor during patient exam
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Answer phones promptly
- Call prescriptions in to pharmacy
- Schedule Zoom links for telemedicine visits, and facilitate links during in-office telemedicine visits
- Accurately measure and record blood pressure or other vital signs
Qualifications:
- 2 years previous experience with direct patient care in a healthcare field is required
- CPR certification
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Please familiarize yourself with the concierge medicine model before application
This is a small office with unique personalized services in comprehensive Internal Medicine. As an individual primary-care Internal Medicine physician, Dr. Knope offers Concierge medical care. He was the first physician in Arizona to offer Concierge healthcare services and wrote the first book on the subject: Concierge Medicine, A New System to Get the Best Healthcare.
Dr. Knope contracts directly with his patients and does not accept insurances or Medicare. His patients have longer appointment times, and greater access to the doctor, which allows them to receive a level of service that large, corporate practices are too rushed to provide. Same day appointments are available, and ample time is provided to have all concerns addressed. Patients are given his home phone number; He does not use an answering service as an intermediary.
Located near the Rillito Park, the office has a pleasant view of the Catalina Mountains.
