We are looking for an experienced Welder to become an integral part of our Burton, MI team! The Welder will use specialized equipment to weld and assemble pumps and equipment as directed. The primary responsibility of the Welder is to weld and assemble metal structures and products through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools according to provided specifications.
Certifications not required but preferred.
- Use welding machines to assemble, repair, and maintain metal equipment and structures or various sizes.
- Read and interpret diagrams, sketches, and blueprints to determine operations, required materials, and timeframes for projects.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding and cutting equipment.
- Load and unload equipment and supplies as directed.
- Clean and organize shop and other areas as required.
- Adhere to applicable company and regulatory agency environmental, health and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical experience or knowledge preferred.
- Ability to use measurement tools and devices.
- Mig stick
- Flex Core
- Heavy Plate/Preheat 1"-4"
- ARC Gouging isn't a requirement but helpful.
