About the Role

This role is a Software Engineer who is part of the Software Engineering department. This Software Engineer role is responsible for engineering with third parties based on system and subsystem specifications and models, software development, and collaborating with a System Integration Engineer counterpart, Project Engineer, and Engineering Directors across uncrewed, crewed, and ground domains to support events, exercises, trade shows, and MOSA demonstrations.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Integrate Stratia with many third party software applications, operating systems, and HMIs.
  • Support Stratia software requirements and modeling lessons learned from experience doing software integration in support events, trade shows, integrations, and demonstrations.
  • Integrate third party capabilities aligned to FACE, OMS, R-EGI, COARP, Big Iron, STANAG 4586, and RAS IOPs consistent with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Stratia artifacts.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external teams (developers, system integrators, system testers, and system requirements engineers) to support delivery of quality products and integrations.
  • Maintain technical cognizance of subsystem interdependencies in support of maturing Stratia for identifying and resolving gaps.
  • Incorporate cross-IPT feedback to support the development and approval of products.
  • Provide software engineering MBSE and requirements to assist third party integrations with Systems Integration counterpart.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • US Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering, or related STEM field. Will consider years of related experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of software engineering or software development experience.
  • Requires previous experience in the defense contracting industry.
  • Produce software artifacts (e.g. Software Development Plan, Software Design Document, Software Version Description, Interface Control Document, Software Configuration Management Plan).
  • Derive software requirements, develop use cases and user stories.
  • Excellent coding skills with knowledge in C/C++. Strong knowledge of Empirical, and Object-Oriented Design and Programming.
  • Experience with User Experience Development process.
  • Knowledge in an Agile development process and continuous integration for company projects.
  • Derive software requirements, develop use cases and user stories.
  • Assist with ROMs on software components for proposals.
  • Experience in Linux and Real Time Operating System environments.
  • Ability to support travel on average of 50%.
