Job Title: Engineering Services Technician
Location: Athens, GA (On-site)
Pay Rate: $24/hr. to $27.00/hr.
Schedule: First shift hours (Possibility of hybrid work schedule once fully trained)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Services Technician to join our team at our Athens site. In this role, you will provide crucial technical support to our Engineering functional groups, contributing to the testing and control of raw materials and finished product quality, ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to Engineering functional groups, assisting with various tasks and projects.
- Set up computers, instrumentation, test cells, and equipment according to written and verbal requirements.
- Collect and analyze data from tests and experiments, contributing to the evaluation of performance.
- Interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics to guide technical tasks effectively.
- Conduct HVACR testing and troubleshooting, utilizing your skills to resolve questions and problems.
- Adapt to new procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment to meet evolving requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or Associate's degree (or equivalent 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, with strong computer skills.
- Experience with low voltage wiring and troubleshooting is essential.
- Understanding of HVAC systems, electronic/electrical troubleshooting, diesel engines, and power physics is highly desirable.
- Additional certifications or qualifications such as refrigerant recovery certification, brazing/welding, metal fabrication, auto/diesel mechanics, PLC, VB programming, and/or CAD skills are a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a highly motivated work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
