JOB SUMMARY

The Production Accounting Tech will be responsible for data integrity across production field applications while identifying discrepancies and collaborating cross functionally to correct data. This individual will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team focused on a collaborative approach to production, data management, and process improvement. The production technician will report to the production accounting supervisor in our Houston office.

Job requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organizes, enters, and reconciles skim volumes for all business units
  • Monitors and is responsible for any non-operated properties in their assigned area
  • Enters data into Procount as needed for the team
  • Prepares skim and saltwater reports for state filings
  • Review and administer PDS permissions for working interest partners.
  • Becomes proficient in and understands field equipment and process flows.
  • Administers the Test-IT calendar to ensure accurate calibration and sampling schedules
  • Assists senior accountants with other ad-hoc tasks/projects

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred: ProCount, eVin, Carte, and Microsoft office suite
  • Self-motivated - ability to work without a lot of oversight.
  • Oil and gas experience related to E&P, drilling, and mid-stream operations is a plus.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Math, Accounting, Computer Science, IT, or Finance.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Minimum: 2- 3 years of production accounting experience

Preferred: Experience in oil, gas, and NGL's allocations.


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting, and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Percent of Travel Required: Less than 5%; Travel may be required for mandatory meetings or training.
