Aviation Grade Electrical Test Engineer

Position: Aviation Grade Electrical Test Engineer Location: Mountain View, CA- (Fully Onsite) Duration: 6 Months Job Type: Contract Job Description: · The Electrical Test Engineer will be responsible for performing tests, writing reports, and building prototype cables and assemblies. · The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities: · Perform tests on electrical components and systems. · Write reports on test results. · Build, prototype, bring up of systems and assemblies. · Build prototype cables and assemblies. · Maintain test systems. Requirements: · Troubleshoot electrical problems. · Maintain test equipment. · Stay up to date on new technologies. · Travel to test labs and operational sites for bring-up, teardown and configuration of systems. Experience: · 3+ years in: Electrical Engineering Principles - Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles in testing. · 3+ years in: Test Equipment Proficiency - Experience with test equipment including power supplies, oscilloscope, function generators. · 3+ years in: Soldering - Experience with soldering techniques to build and rework equipment. Fix and troubleshoot of components. · 3+ years in: Aviation Grade Electronics - Experience with aviation grade assembly and design. Provide design input on best practices and perform tasks with appropriate workmanship. · 1+ years in: Cable Assembly Build, Test, and Inspection - Experience with creating cable assemblies, testing existing cables and inspecting incoming cable assemblies. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Skills: · Electrical Engineering Principles · Test Equipment Proficiency · Soldering · Cable Assembly Build, Test, and Inspection · Aviation Grade Electronics · Troubleshoot electrical problems. · Maintain test equipment. · Stay up to date on new technologies. Education: · Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering.
