Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assumes responsibility for defining, implementing, and enforcing governance and standards for Microsoft Azure.
  • Supports application engineering teams to design software applications, including the migration and transformation of legacy solutions to the cloud, that adhere to Inovalon policies for secure software development and cloud solutions.
  • Applies commercial cloud best practices to design, develop, and implement Azure platform-level features.
  • Develops infrastructure as code for user groups that rely on these services (e.g., automatic provisioning of accounts, environments, VPC configurations, security, networking, logging, and statistics visualization).
  • Recommends process and architecture improvements.
  • Collaborates with product, architecture, and security teams to ensure solutions respond to non-functional requirements such as availability, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Stays current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for Inovalon.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within CCS Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position.
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company; and
  • Uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a systems engineer, site reliability engineer, or cloud engineer.
  • Extensive knowledge of existing industry standards, technologies, and infrastructure operations for Azure.
  • Knowledge of automation and continuous integration/delivery tools such as Azure Pipelines, Terraform, Jenkins, or similar.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, technical field, or equivalent experience.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time);
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
  • Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

$69,858-$133,977.25 USD
