Job Description

Brightspeed is looking for a Structure Loader to join our team. The Structure Loader identifies plant and network facilities in provisioning and inventory systems to complete service assignments. Loads network elements and logical inventory in support systems resulting from capital and expense work activity. Assists multiple service groups by identifying plant facilities, preparing cut-sheets, updating and maintaining assignment and record systems resulting from OSP or ISP work orders, and coordinating certain aspects through completion.

As a Structure Loader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintains data integrity of inventory systems.
  • Must effectively partner with all affiliate business units to obtain necessary network information
  • Handles customer record assignment/switch gating to new equipment during cutovers.
  • Creates cut-sheets for inside and outside facilities and participates in cutover activity.
  • Occasionally, participates in first office application trials.
  • May be assigned to specialized task or focus groups to efficiently support the direction of our company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • High School Diploma or GED. Vocational training in related field, i.e.; computerized records management.
  • One to two years of telecommunications experience or network fundamentals that demonstrate ability to interpret and work with plant facilities and related inventory systems.
  • Ability to distinguish colors on coded records, equipment and facilities.
  • Fluent skills in Excel including building spreadsheets and using macros.
  • Experience working with construction prints, cut sheets, cable schematics, location records/maps and/or Central Office equipment records.
  • Working knowledge of technical requirements associated with service offerings, such as Data, Video, VOIP, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Experience within the last two years working computer software/business applications that support records inventory and data integrity.
  • Experience that demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to contribute positively in a team environment.

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Associates Degree in Electronics/Communications/Computer Science.
  • Working knowledge of advanced data and video elements, including but not limited to remote devices, access devices, FTTP/FTTC, video, and various carrier systems, which are inventoried and used in the assignment process.
  • Proficient use of Excel that demonstrates ability to create macros and complex formulas.
  • Working knowledge of Ensemble and ARMOR for managing and resolving tasks.
