RN- TB Clinic - Full-time / Part-time

Purpose of the Position: Under broad supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols and/or procedures. Focuses on the

prevention of illness, injury or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations. Cares for population with special needs during

disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols. Provides case management and follow-up of all known TB clients to ensure timely and appropriate

treatment. Collaborates with local physicians, hospitals, substance abuse centers, correctional facilities and community organizations to promote TB education and

insure continuity of care. Adheres to HIPAA regulations. This position works to promote the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.

Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):

* Identifies high risk populations and tailor interventions based on the needs of the population and the resources available.

* Provides treatments, administers medication/vaccines and provides preventive and maintenance care to patient/families consistent with care plan and/or

physician treatment plan.

* Screens and refers clients to other community service providers.

Professional experience in public health nursing.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered

Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of PHN experience AND

completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
