Walking Tour Guide, Niagara Falls State Park

The Opportunity 

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring seasonal Walking Tour Guides to join our team at Niagara Falls State Park in Niagara Falls, New York.We are looking for guides who like the outdoors and will enjoy teaching guests about Niagara Falls State Park. As a guide you will lead guests to each waterfall, while making stops to inform them of the history of Niagara. You will need to be comfortable with public speaking and have a charismatic personality. This is the perfect seasonal job for teachers, college students, retirees and people who enjoy working in the hospitality industry. 

 

This position does not begin until May 2024

Pay

*During tours you have the ability to receive tips.

$17.00 - $17.00 / hour

Responsibilities 

• Greeting and welcome customers to the tours.
• Informing customers about the itinerary for each tour.
• Provide a guided tour to all guests
• Escort guests to tour attractions & make sure they are admitted without issue
• Familiarizing yourself with the layout and history of the Niagara Falls region
• Scheduling and selling tours through online software.

Qualifications 

• A high school diploma is required
• Being able to multitask is needed
• Be able to memorize information and quick thinking
• Able to stand for long periods of time and walk for extended periods
• Customer service experience is preferred
• Tour Guide experience preferred 
• Ability to maintain a timed schedule
• Being CRP certified is preferred (if not we will provide an opportunity for certification)

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and walk and stand for long periods of time.
