Window & Door Installer - Experienced

Looking for Self-Motivated, customer-oriented Window and Door installers. Must have Experience with Window and Door Installations.

Qualified candidates will have experience with general carpentry, power tools, window installation; exterior door frame and door construction and installation; siding installation; drywall construction, and interior trim applications.

The primary purpose of this position is to install all company products accurately according to company procedures and guidelines always in a safe and timely manner with courtesy and professionalism.

Salary is based on proven experience.

Reports To: Foreman

Job Summary:

The Mechanic will assist the Foreman and perform physical labor and advanced tasks on jobsites.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Duties:

· Flashing tape pre-installation and finishing.

· Remove old windows, doors, siding materials and dispose of them properly.

· Install new windows, doors, siding and materials according to company standards.

· Perform demolition dispose of materials properly.

· Set windows and doors.

· Confirm unit size pre-layout.

· Complete job punch list assignments independently.

· Communicate effectively with both customers and office personnel.

· Build scaffolding and uses ladders and equipment according to safety regulations.

· Maintains a clean work area.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

· Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and foreman.

· Ability to follow instructions and provide consistent work and completes simple jobs independently.

· Ability to independently complete punch list assignments with a high level of quality.

· Ability to confirm unit size pre-layout and load bearing.

· Ability to perform basic math.

· Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch.

· Effective communication skills.

· Advanced knowledge of materials and their applications.

Education & Experience:

· Must be at least 18 years old.

· Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record. (For company vehicle use when required.)

· Understand hardware operation and how to install and troubleshoot upon installation.

· Advanced Carpentry knowledge:

o Advanced tool use

o 45-degree miter saw cut

o Table saw rip

o Advanced cutting and application

o Framing

o Safe ladder platform setup

o Complex break and capping skills

o Advanced and complex caulking

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of standing and working outside.

· Must have adequate balance and ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.

· Must be able to lift to 100 pounds at times.

· Requires travel to jobsite within predetermined radius in a company-provided vehicle.
