Adventist Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Family Medicine Residency Program Director to lead our accredited residency program. The Program Director will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of the Family Medicine residency, ensuring its alignment with national accreditation standards and fostering an environment of excellence in education.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Family Medicine Residency Program.
  • Develop and implement curriculum, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.
  • Lead the recruitment, evaluation, and mentoring of residents.
  • Provide guidance and support to faculty members involved in the residency program.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for residents.
  • Collaborate with healthcare institutions for clinical rotations and educational experiences.
  • Participate in strategic planning for the growth and improvement of the residency program.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with ACGME and other relevant accreditation standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold or be able to obtain a valid and unrestricted medical license from the State of California
  • Shall have completed an accredited residency program in Family Medicine
  • Shall be certified/maintain certification with the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians
  • 3-5 years of Family Medicine education and/or administrative experience, preferably as a Director, Associate Director, Site Director, or Core Faculty member of a Family Medicine Residency Training Program.
