This position is responsible for servicing Group Benefit Key Accounts under the direction of the Account Managers assigned.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Process urgent eligibility requests
  • Create temporary ID Cards
  • Know the rules & timeline of COBRA to ensure vendors have needed information
  • Prepare for and attend employer open enrollment meetings
  • Keep management system(s) and shared drive organized and up to date
  • Put together small group proposals
  • Compile Data onto an Employee Census
  • Help create Compliance Documents - Employee Annual Notices
  • Help Set Up Groups with Employee Navigator and Ease
  • Audit Group Carrier Invoices as needed and assist third party with invoice audit questions
  • Create Detailed Deduction reports for Employer Groups using Excel templates with formulas
  • Create Rate Cards and Employee Election Forms
  • Know how to check formulas and calculations in Excel
  • Attend and Participate in Team Meetings
  • Prompt responses and familiarity with Outlook and Microsoft Teams
  • Create Benefit Guides using Power Point template
  • Time Management skills and Task Prioritization, utilizing Zendesk and Microsoft Planner
  • Mentor and train other Account Coordinators
  • Help revise and improve processes for all Account Coordinators

High School Diploma or Equivalent; Preferred 1-3 years Employee Benefits or Human-Resource-related experience; or any combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge and abilities to do the job. Familiarity with Health, Life, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability (LTD), Short Term Disability(STD), and Supplement products. Knowledge of and familiarity with current Carrier Eligibility Rules and COBRA regulations. Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of citizen and agency staff. Ability to run an effective meeting using listening, reasoning, and articulate communication skills. Ability to retain knowledge, problem solve, and work independently. Basic Math Computation Skills, especially within Excel. Proficient in a variety of computer software programs used by the agency, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; Brokerage Builder; as well as the Internet and Carrier Web Sites. Ability to operate copier, scanner, fax, calculator, and telephone.
