Electrical Test Technician Supervisor

Position Summary:

Oversee performance and on time delivery of the environmental lab, including management of lab personnel and the various environmental tests including thermal shock, burn-in, overload, temperature, humidity, conformance, and reliability testing.

Oversee communication, implementation and sustainment of new processes driven by internal and external needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain training documentation and requirements necessary for lab personnel.

• Perform disciplinary action as needed on quality control direct reports

• Report on time delivery and work performance of the lab on a frequent basis

• Report any safety, quality or delivery concerns to cross functional team

• Successfully oversee lab functions using project management tool

• Utilize problem solving processes for issues that arise

• Review & understand customer test and quality process requirements

• Set up & operate various testing equipment

• Operate real time x-ray operation

• Perform and interpret test and process driven results

• Perform and document results of life testing

• Preparation of customer test reports

• Support quality team in setting lab priorities and day to day operation, including preparation & maintenance of schedules to meet OTD for lab tests/requirements

• Perform receiving inspection using inspection equipment/software

• Perform all necessary QPL/DLA maintenance reporting

• Perform 1st article inspections

• Perform PPAP and other customer specific inspections

• Perform final pre-cap inspections

• Perform source inspections as necessary

• Maintain customer delegation status for inspection personnel

• Support multiple testing projects simultaneously

• Coordinate with production control and operations to obtain test parts and to ensure compliance with lab delivery schedules

• May assist with equipment audits & calibrations

• May be required to work occasional overtime

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree education in related field plus at least five years of significant experience

• Deep understanding of various test/lab equipment

• Deep experience with ISO9001/AS9100 and Customer specific Quality System requirements

• Deep understanding of solder workmanship; soldering certification preferred

• Must possess a basic understanding of electricity and electrical quantities, such as current, voltage, etc.

• Must have experience with computers & be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word

• Must have good eyesight and hand eye coordination

• Must have strong communication skills for ability to convey process needs to the business

• Must possess the skills necessary for project management and leadership

• Internal candidates must have good disciplinary/attendance record

Salary range: $60,800-86,000
