Industrial Waste Water Operator-Entry Level

We provide hazardous materials disposal, wastewater treatment, petroleum recycling and specialty industrial services to help clients meet regulatory compliance with particular focus on protecting the environment and workplace safety. We are located in the Charleston, WV, Pittsburgh, PA and Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Areas, with flexibility for some remote work.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Water Treatment Operator. The Water Treatment Operator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with industrial wastewater plant operations. The Water Treatment Operator will also be responsible for process control, pump station operations and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Plant Operations and Process Control experience/skills
• Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment knowledge
• Pump Station operations and maintenance experience/skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A basic understanding of environmental and safety regulations
• Experience in municipal and/or industrial wastewater treatment is a plus
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Spirit is willing to assist with employees seeking wastewater licensing in OH
• Operator will work under the supervision of a Class A or Class I licensed operator
• Ability to assess safe working conditions and follow industry safe working standards and practices (OSHA)
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background check, physical exam, drug screen)
• Preferred PEC Safeland Training and/or OSHA training
• Preferred hydraulics license and some heavy equipment/forklift experience
