Job Title: Sales Representative

Reports to: General Manager

Location: Florence, SC

FLSA Status: Full-time, salaried, exempt, Monday-Friday - 7AM-5PM, Saturday as-needed

Compensation: $35,173 - $52,760, including incentives

Summary/Objective:

Our sales representatives are the initial and primary point of contact for our prospects and customers. They're responsible for providing our customers with the absolute best experience, always ensuring the customers' complete satisfaction and positioning Live Oak Metal Works & Supply as their preferred supplier for metal roofing, siding, and accessories.

Responsibilities:

• Recognizing that nothing is more important than the safety of our employees and promptly reporting any safety concerns

• Always maintaining a great attitude, with an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction

• Supporting our strong relationship-centric culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service, and strong product knowledge

• Prospecting and other business development activities such as cold-calling or attending trade shows or other events to build awareness of metal roofing and siding in general and Live Oak Metal Works & Supply in particular

• Getting to know our customers and understanding what they want and need, and helping match those wants and needs with the right products and services

• Preparing and professionally presenting estimates and quotations for our customers

• Creating sales orders in our computer system, working with the rest of the Live Oak team to ensure that all customer orders are filled accurately, and in a professional and timely manner

• Providing proactive after-quote or after-sale service, including but not limited to, follow-up courtesy calls or emails

• Quickly and professionally managing any post-delivery issues to ensure customer satisfaction

• Reporting competitive market information

• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Comfortable using personal computer and business software applications

• Previous sales or service experience strongly preferred, especially in a related field like roofing, construction, or metal

• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation

• High school degree or GED

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to routinely lift as much as 25 pounds, to stand for long periods of time, and to bend, climb, reach, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel as necessary in order to perform job duties

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time

• Must have hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery, equipment, and tools

• Although the work environment is primarily in an office, employees must also have the ability to work in the warehouse or while being exposed to outside weather conditions

• Able to safely ascend different structures (stairs or step ladder, as examples)
