Job Summary:
Internal Medicine Residency Program Director Opportunity in Trinity, FLHCA Florida Trinity Hospital in conjunction with the University of South Florida College of Medicine is seeking an exceptional physician to join our Internal Medicine residency as Program Director.
Qualified Candidates:
- Established internal medicine residency program started in 2019
- Per the ACGME's formal requirements to be considered for Program Director, applicants must have:
- Specialty expertise and at least three (3) years of documented educational and/or administrative experience
- Must include ongoing clinical activity
- Documented scholarly activity in the form of research, publications, poster presentations, journals, book chapters, etc. within the past five (5) years
- We offer 20 categorical internal medicine positions per year (but are approved for 72 positions)
- Minimum of 50% FTE of non-clinical time will be dedicated to program administration duties
- Incoming physician will have the opportunity to apply for faculty appointment with University of South Florida College of Medicine
- Will be responsible for administration and operations; teaching and scholarly activity; resident recruitment and selection, evaluation, promotion, and disciplinary action; supervision of residents; and resident education in the context of patient care
- Must be American Board-certified in internal medicine (ABIM or AOBIM)
- Exceptional base salary plus bonuses
