Finishing Manager

Job Summary

The Finishing Manager is responsible for managing the finish process and quality of high-end cabinets. This position will plan, direct work, and implement policies and procedures related to finishing of cabinets to ensure high quality and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Set goals for performance and quality while complying with product deadlines.
• Organize workflow and ensure team members understand their duties and delegated tasks.
• Monitor production workflow and resolve issues as they arise.
• Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to quality standards and per customer order.
• Create and implement standardized procedures (SOPS’s) to manage detailed parameters & improve efficiency of workforce.
• Involve plant and corporate management to develop practices and procedures that promote the product, manufacturing process, and quality.
• Collaborate with Quality, Research and Development, Purchasing, Operations, and Process Development to resolve issues.
• Apply analytical and statistical techniques to problem-solving and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Provide employee coaching, training, and development.
• Oversee performance management and implementing discipline as needed in coordination with HR.
• Communicate and recommend to management finishing area quality improvements and production efficiency.
• Display by example safe working practices and enforce working safely in compliance with safety rules.
• Communicate and promote company policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working in cabinet or furniture finishing
• Experience working in Microsoft Office applications and ERP system
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leaderships skills
• 5+ years supervisory experience, preferably in finishing
• Proficient knowledge of coating application tools
