Role Summary/Purpose:

The VP, Acquisition Solutions role will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives across the acquisition function including rollout of new credit and fraud models and authentication tools, new products, new credit bureaus / data source(s), new SynApps features and capabilities. This role will also lead initiatives related to governance, monitoring and administration, audit support, and customer communications ranging from issue identification to resolution, post issue-fix validations, remediations and reporting for acquisition processes.  The role requires engagement directly and indirectly with various functional organizations across Credit, Marketing, IT, Compliance, Governance, Audit, SynApps Agile Build, BAU, and Operation teams.  The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of acquisition decisioning system; it’s people, processes, data, technology, governance and compliance mandates, with a blend of technical, credit business, process oriented, analytic and communication skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build processes and lead strategic acquisition implementation initiatives including rollout of new credit and fraud models and authentication tools, new products, new credit bureaus / data source(s), new SynApps features and capabilities.

  • Serve as a bridge between SynApps Build and Acquisition Credit Implementation team and facilitate and complement the synch up process between build and BAU roll out functions.

  • Work with Acquisition Credit and fraud strategy development team and develop procedures and processes to reduce strategy implementation exposures.

  • Own acquisition initiatives and issues involving adverse action, counteroffer, risk-based pricing notifications and escalated customer complaints.

  • Manage and lead the process of root cause identification, impact analysis, resolution, reporting and remediation of letter issues and update & close eGRC,  issues with the partnership of support implementation resources.

  • Work as a primary interface with internal and external auditors and provide audit supports and build new and revise existing processes as a follow up on audit findings.

  • Develop, adhere and monitor governance procedures and controls. Administer and ensure the Implementation guidelines and checklist for implementations are followed in the BAU activities and project delivery processes.

  • Establish and design processes for communication of changes released by Implementation team to Operations and downstream process owners.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned such as coding, testing, implementing, and validating of strategies, leading IT projects, and project support.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Analytics, Business Administration or related discipline and 7+ years (or in lieu of a degree 10+ years) of relevant experience in consumer/commercial fraud, credit or risk management, lending, or appropriate field in a credit card / consumer lending environment 

  • 5+ Years of Advanced SAS and SQL Experience

  • 5+ years Project Management Waterfall and/or Agile experience

  • 5 + years of strategy implementation experience using programming languages such as PowerCurve/DaaS/FICO DMP/FDP

  • Extensive experience with Acquisitions decision systems, including processes to support customer communications particularly in the areas of adverse action and counteroffer letters and risk-based pricing notifications

Desired Characteristics:

  • Proven track record of creative problem solving and ability to thrive in a cross-functional and virtual environment.

  • Strong understanding of the credit business and the associated processes and tools to implement the same.

  • Strong understanding of Data Querying and analysis.

  • Understanding of governance & compliance framework.

  • Prior experience in leading major migration or enterprise wise projects will be preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with a wide range of functions including offshore team.

  • Experience with SynApps/Surveyor/Edison Acquisitions decision systems

  • Prior experience with Fiserv AFP on Demand

  • Strategy implementation & monitoring experience

  • High energy, self-motivated, with strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Ability to work with offshore team.

  • Project Management and Agile certifications.

Grade/Level: 12

                                                            

The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
