Telemetry RN Position Details:

Type: 13 weeks contract or Per Diem

Shift Start Time: Nights 3x12 hours or  Days  1x12

Location: Seattle, Everett, WA

Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with cardiac and medical conditions. Develop and implement individualized care plans to address their specific needs, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing comfort measures.
• Cardiac Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' cardiac status using telemetry equipment. Identify and respond to any irregularities in heart rate, rhythm, or other cardiac parameters.
• Arrhythmia Management: Care for patients with arrhythmias, including the assessment of arrhythmia patterns, medication administration, and prompt intervention when necessary.
• Congestive Heart Failure Management: Provide comprehensive care for patients with congestive heart failure. Monitor fluid balance, administer diuretics, and educate patients on managing their condition at home.
• Post-Cardiovascular Lab Care: Attend to patients who have undergone cardiovascular procedures such as stent placement, pacemaker implantation, or AICD implantations. Ensure post-procedure monitoring, wound care, and pain management as needed.
• Post-Open Heart Surgery Care: Care for patients recovering from open-heart surgery. Monitor surgical wounds, vital signs, and respiratory status. Administer pain relief and educate patients on post-operative recovery.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications, including antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, and cardiac medications, as prescribed by physicians. Monitor for medication effectiveness and potential side effects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Active Washington State RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Two professional references are required. Charge RNs are accepted.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced Hospital environment.
• Successfully complete and pass a background check and drug test.
