****Position Description****

**Job Summary**

Packs product according to specifications checking quality and wastes. Maintains adequate supplies requesting additional supplies as needed. Prepares accurate reports on productivity and waste. Practices good housekeeping and uses specified lifting procedures.

- Packs product using supplies per specifications on work order.

- Completes accurate reports, i.e., work order, short form, rework forms, and conversion sheets.

- Requests adequate stock of supplies as needed.

- Follows designated methods to attain or surpass productivity goals.

- Keeps area neat and orderly at all times.

- Strives to keep waste to a minimum by checking work order specifications.

- Works in a safe manner following correct lifting procedures.

- Assists in anything pertaining to the department.

- This position requires statistical process control charting, and the use of continuous improvement tools for process improvement.

- Performs visual inspection of box surface and the final product.

- Accountable for customer complaints associated with incorrect packaging.

- Ability to stand, bend, or squat continuously during a defined shift.

- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a repetitive basis.

- Ability to work 40 hours during a defined shift, plus overtime as required.

- All other duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**

- Possess High School level education or GED

- Ability to stand, bend, or squat continuously during a defined shift.

- Possess a working knowledge of math concepts including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percents, and basic algebra.

- Ability to read and interpret work orders and perform reporting functions.

- Ability and willingness to work in a team environment.

- Ability to demonstrate oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Ability to work in a team-oriented work group.

TIME OFF BENEFITS

Vacation - Regular full-time (30+ hours/week) or regular part-time (16-30 hours/week) employees are eligible for vacation. Part-time employees will accrue vacation on a prorated basis.

?Holidays- Full-time and part-time employees receive paid holidays as determined by the business location.

Paid Parental Leave- All parents can take 12 weeks of parental leave paid at 100% to care for and bond with a new child. This benefit is available to all birth parents, non-birth legal parents and adoptive parents through surrogacy or gestational carrier. The mother will also receive 8 weeks of short term disability leave paid at 100% in addition to Parental Leave. Employees must file an FMLA claim to begin the Parental Leave process.
