As we continue to expand our solutions and services, MGT is seeking talented, mission-oriented leaders across state and local government public sector with experience developing transformative and enduring client relationships. MGT is looking to hire a key member to the national sales team, supporting the State & Local Government (SLG) portfolio, which includes strategic and point solutions for cities, counties, and states. The SLG Solutions Account Manager drives account strategy and sales execution. Responsible for expanding MGT's presence in the state and local government market, the SLG Solutions Account Manager will lead a dynamic virtual team to exceed annual targets, deliver high-impact projects that delight clients and cultivate a network of robust client relationships. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Account Management

  • Initiate and nurture relationships with key decision-makers across the state and local government system.
  • In partnership with other client-facing leaders, identify and execute upon high impact growth drivers.
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets in collaboration with leaders and engagement managers; partner closely across the client-facing teams to execute.
  • Monitor progress against sales goals and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for new / joint solution offerings across the MGT SLG and technology solutions portfolio to meet emerging client/market needs.
  • Advise and engage on high-impact projects with key clients.
  • Ensure client success on project delivery and identify opportunities for ongoing partnership and collaboration.
  • Advise on opportunities for cross-collaboration across teams and clients, as part of broader growth and field building

Market Research and Prospecting

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Generate leads and build a robust pipeline of prospective clients, including from prior relationships and experience in the state and local government ecosystem.

Sales Execution

  • Achieve and exceed revenue accountabilities -drive client revenue across the entire SLG solutions portfolio and technology solutions portfolio.
  • Deliver account plans for strategic clients that support the MGT vision and strategic goals, spanning across clients' lines of business.
  • Sales Execution - ensure required pipeline coverage, pipeline quality and health of the pipeline; build and manage sales execution.
  • Accurately drive the forecast process and outcomes aligned with account revenue commitments.
  • Drive sales orchestration across the v-team to ensure client and sales success.
  • Grow the MGT brand within and outside of current client base.
  • Serve as the "face" of MGT to clients - create and foster relationships with the finance director / CFO, COO, Chief Equity Officer, planning directors, city and local government managers, CIO and other senior executives and influencers.
  • Serve as the client satisfaction barometer. Ensure client satisfaction is at its highest possible attainment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience working in a public sector consulting or SLG solutions sale's role. Background in sales and consultative client engagement with a public sector / state and local government company.
  • Deep understanding of the SLG ecosystem and network of existing relationships with government leaders.
  • Sales experience with a proven track record of overachievement against key objectives, developing alliances and generating new business revenues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives at large companies.
  • Ability to sell solutions in a multiproduct environment.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and achieve success for clients.
  • Comfortable presenting webinars, events, and training.
