The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is actively seeking a Staff Physician 2 to be a part of our Clinical Services Department at Danville State Hospital. As a Staff Physician 2, you provide medical services for the consumers of Danville State Hospital. These services include, but are not limited to, physical and neurological examination, diagnosis, subsequent care and treatment. You also document assessment and treatment according to established hospital policy and procedure and accreditation/certification agency requirements.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- On call and lunch coverage are necessary as needed.
- May change based on operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience and/or training in the practice of medicine.
Special Requirement:
- All positions require possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Medicine Board, or the State Osteopathic Medicine Board.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
