In this role, your patients will be critically ill or unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or life threatening diseases. Our nurses wear many hats daily from patient advocate to family advisor and, in some cases, even friend. Operating Room Nurse Role: * Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR * Care for patients before, during, and after procedures * Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients * Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies * Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients If you are ready to start a career with an established team in an organization that understands the importance of your life's calling, it's time to connect with St Luke's! Qualifications Required Skills: * Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma. * One (1) or more years of nursing experience * Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Texas * BLS (AHA) and ACLS with skills demonstration Preferred Skills: * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred * One (1) or more years of experience in an operating room setting preferred
