Job Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for performing a variety of duties within the outlet which may include taking food orders, completing customer transactions, bartending, cleaning the work area, and assisting in the kitchen.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides excellent guest service and role models Prairie Flower Casino’s Mission and Values.
- Greets customers and processes food and beverage orders.
- Provides information about menus and special offers.
- Operates cash register and receives payment from customer. Accurately counts and provides change to customers as required. Balances drawer at end of shift.
- Follows proper policies for checking ID and processing comped food orders.
- Cleans and stocks work area.
- Assists with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed.
- Receives inventory, moves, and lifts food and beverage products and supplies.
- Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing. rotating and checking temperature of products.
- Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment.
- Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Outstanding example of and a credit to Prairie Flower Casino.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Must demonstrate the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
- Requires the ability to communicate in English including speaking to guests.
- Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents.
- Cash Handling and Customer Service experience preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

- Requires the ability to lift/push objects weighing over 40 lbs.

- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, and crouch.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, increasing to loud when on the casino floor.
- Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
- May be exposed to a smoking environment.
