Description & Requirements

Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a Development and Diversity Coordinator to be based out of one of our North or South Carolina offices. The Development and Diversity team drives the advancement of development of attorneys and supports the firm's commitment of diversity by fostering an inclusive workplace and ensuring a diverse workforce. This position is responsible for providing development and diversity project coordination/management and coordinating of key programs.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage professional development calendar of events, including organizing videoconferences, conference room needs, travel logistics, and technical support.
  • Coordinate the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) process for all relevant education programs in the firm, including managing submissions and attendance.
  • Manage diversity calendar of events inclusive of diversity conferences and multicultural events.
  • Handle tracking and details for events such as Womble Scholars, HBCU Succeeds and Affinity Group programs.
  • Help with communication efforts inclusive of the website, team status updates, event details, etc.
  • Provide general administrative support including database updates, data collection and entry, invoicing, and scheduling.
  • Assist with other professional development and diversity project initiatives as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) preferred and three years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of various types of technology such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent client service is expected.
  • Work collaboratively on a team and can work independently.
  • Embody the firms core values of integrity, devotion to clients/stakeholders and respect for individuals.
