Job Summary/Primary Purpose:

The Marketing and Communications Manager be responsible for developing marketing strategy, assessing, and tracking marketing effectiveness, and implementing marketing deliverables to support the Kroc brand, expand awareness of services, and appropriately communicate the impact of the Kroc in our community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and recommending the overall marketing strategy for the Kroc Center for review and approval of the Kroc Officers and leadership team.
  • Execute the day-to-day implementation and delivery of marketing efforts that elevate the Kroc Center brand standard and supports The Salvation Army mission.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to implement local advertising efforts, promotion of events, campaigns, social media, and other public communications.
  • Develop the marketing budget to execute the developed strategy and manage expenditures to stay within approved limits.
  • Regularly facilitate the collection and communication of marketing analytics to the Kroc leadership team to assist in review of marketing performance and impact strategic decisions.
  • Develop departmental standard operating procedures to document processes, review and manage to keep them current and up to date.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in the development of key marketing materials (Program Guide, Camp guide, etc.)
  • Manage the utilization of design programs and coordinate approval of production of all in-house and vendor created marketing materials, printed and digital, to assure compliance with overall marketing strategy and brand standards.
  • Provide support, guidance, and strategy development for an effective social media presence that sustains our overall marketing objectives.
  • Coordinate the use of video screens and other signs and print material to facilitate effective and professional communication to members and staff.
  • Work with management team to set and communicate production timeline expectations for campaigns and other marketing projects.
  • Oversite of website structure and new content development.
  • Manage marketing SharePoint subsite to provide effective information and tools for the Kroc.
  • Coordinate with DHQ Development and the Divisional Communications Team (DCT) to ensure that the "One Army" metro-Omaha messaging approach is consistently adhered to; consult with the DCT for support on combined marketing resources and press releases as needed.
  • Participate in the Manager on Duty program.
  • All other duties as assigned.
