Stay updated on industry trends.What you will doYou will work directly with one to two principals and their local staff to devise strategy, manage projects, and connect resources for various cross-functional initiatives.Responsibilities* Serve as a trusted advisor to the principals, assuming a client service role, effectively anticipating, responding, and consulting* Collaborate and support a cross-department service team dedicated to supporting a specific household/principal.* Facilitate strategic discussions with principals to develop personal and professional objectives, risk mitigation strategies, and other projects/initiatives, confidently toggling between various skillsets.* Coordinate with teams to recommend, implement, and monitor a holistic financial plan.* Leverage and coordinate with specialists across the family office to provide interdisciplinary support and advice.* Build rapport, establish relationships with key clients, and navigate complexity.* Synthesize complex data into audience-appropriate presentations/reports.* Manage and mentor less experienced team members.* Keep abreast of new industry trends.* Comply with all industry rules and regulations.* Operate independently with regular check-ins from principal; own and manage assigned projects end-to-end.* Provide input on strategic decisions; serve as a thought partner to principal.* Lead strong project management and reporting.* Initiate and guide the OKR process across companies.* Take on key priorities and projects from principals; scope and manage to completion.* Influence strategic decisions in partnership with the leadership team.* Lead a team, interact with senior stakeholders, and run special projects as needed.Who we are looking for* Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or related field* Professional certification such as CFA or CFP preferred.* 15+ years of work experience required, with half of that experience in an investment or family office role.* 5+ years of management experience required.* Experience in direct investments and overall financial strategy is highly desired.* Experience working with families and family office operations is highly desired.* Financial modeling using Microsoft Excel and other tools.* Ability to build strong relationships.* High levels of diplomacy, discretion, empathy, and judgment* Problem-solving skills* Financial modeling using Microsoft Excel and other tools.* Strong communication and presentation skills* Familiarity with the OKR goal-setting process* Ability to influence decisions and drive initiatives.* Experience leading a team and working with senior stakeholders.* Track record successfully managing special executive projects.Skills and Capabilities required for this role* Enhanced Due Diligence - Ensures governance and compliance standards are met when conducting EDD assessments. Maintains and ensures team members' compliance with all rules and regulations in the financial industry. Educates others on the processes and concepts regarding financial advising.* Financial Modeling - Follows established processes when participating in financial modeling activities. Assists in preparing operating performance projections and key metrics analysis to support reporting, planning, and forecasting activities. Determines the best financial models to use for a specific situation within own business area.* Investment Advisory - Aligns the client's wealth growth needs with a suitable strategic investment portfolio, under guidance. Uses provided information of recommended securities to advise clients on the buying and selling of securities. Develops advisory reports on specific securities.* Investment Management - Assists team members in identifying clients' needs and goals regarding their investment portfolios. Collects clients' information and conducts routine analyses to determine potential investment strategies. Follows established processes when developing investment strategies.* Valuation Models - Follows established processes to calculate different types of analyses for investment purposes. Discusses the strengths and weaknesses of different types of valuation models from a business perspective. Determines which valuation model or method to apply to a particular situation.* Wealth Management - Coaches team members in providing investment advisory services to address the needs of affluent clients. Demonstrates in-depth experience with managing the people and activities involved in wealth management. Establishes good wealth management practices within the organization.* Advising - Ensures others understand the critical elements of providing information and offering alternatives for making effective decisions. Coaches colleagues on how to give and receive constructive feedback to improve the effectiveness of decisions. Demonstrates in-depth experience providing guidance and making decisions.* Building Relationships - Contributes to establishing good relationship building practices in all business areas. Ensures that others understand the fundamentals of building relationships that support business goals.
