**JOB SUMMARY**

Under the direction of the Business Office Director/Coordinator is responsible for screening all billing and posting activities of United Medical Centers. Responsible for all cashiering functions as per approved guidelines and protocols. The employee is responsible for screening patients to determine their financial eligibility for clinic services. You will utilize the Primary Health Care (PHC) Screening Tool and Automated Medicaid system documenting applications electronically to refer patients to the appropriate programs in the Community. The employee will provide information regarding clinic services to patients and the public. As a UMC employee, you are responsible for compliance with other Medical Center requirements such as State/Federal regulations, TJC, DSHS standards, HRSA, and other Compliance Standards.

**EDUCATION**

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Some business courses preferred.

**EXPERIENCE & TRAINING**

At least one year of experience in a healthcare billing environment.

Prior experience with an Electronic Health Records System Preferred.

Prior experience in collection procedures, preferred.

Cashiering experience required.

Knowledgeable in medical terminology preferred.

Computer knowledge required.

Bilingual required.
