Dump Truck Driver

A Dump Truck Driver will be responsible for driving gasoline or diesel-powered dump trucks to transport and deliver products, materials, or equipment.

**Responsibilities:**

* Helps load and unload cargo

* Positions blocks, ropes, straps, cables, and chains to secure cargo during transit

* Climbs on and off truck body during loading, unloading, and tie-down procedures

* Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations (including I.C.C. Regulations)

* Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water

* Completes pre-trip and post-trip truck inspection reports

* Service and lubricate engine and other moving parts if needed

* Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, batteries, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs

* Maintains accurate records on truck lubrication, service, and repairs

* Follow truck maintenance schedule

* Work harmoniously, cooperatively, and courteously with others at all times.

* Follow directions and instructions from supervisors.

* Perform a variety of tasks and duties that may change often as the work conditions require.

* Work within defined standards of accuracy.

* Work in a variety of weather conditions, including temperatures over 85 degrees and below 40 degrees.

* Perform all other duties as assigned.

**Requirements:**

* Stand, sit, or walk for a long periods.

* Ability to use arms and hand to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.

* Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.

* Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

* Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.

* Must be able to see and hear well (naturally or with correction.)

* Ability to travel and work overtime, as requested.

* Must meet all Federal DOT Requirements
