Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Controls and performs all warehouseactivities on assigned shift to ensure the efficient and economical utilizationof facilities for storing and distributing raw materials and finished goodsinventories.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provides on-the-job work direction to Material Handlers.

Receives materials from common carriers and suppliers. Inspects and counts incoming materials; verifies against order for correctness and condition. Arranges for return of defective materials through Purchasing and the warehouse receiving area.

Plans and implements work assignments for most efficient use of personnel, equipment and available storage space on assigned shift.

Directs and participates in periodic and special inventories. With the Warehouse Supervisor, reconcilesbook inventories with physical counts.

Plan sand coordinates the transfer of materials to and from warehouse.

Schedules the loading, unloading and routing of assigned warehouse vehicles.

Maintains a good rapport and professional relationship in all dealings with vendors, transportation carriers, user departments and warehouse personnel.

Recommends improvements in current clerical and warehouse practices to promote efficiency, faster service and lower cost; recommends changes in the department, including hiring, promotion, demotion, and release of personnel and wage changes for assigned personnel within established guidelines.

Ensures that the warehouse facilities are kept clean and orderly at all times and corrects any safety problems.

Communicates with Purchasing Department Buyers and Coordinators regarding proper inventory par levels.

Counsels, guides and instructs assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties, ensuring all employees are thoroughly trained in all aspects of the warehouse operation, and the safe use of all equipment involved.

Schedules and coordinates the storage, issue, deliver, retrieval and disposal of record retention files stored at the warehouse.

Enters items received and stock requisitions into the Inventory/Purchasing Program. Makes and oversees inquiries as necessary and evaluates the information as it relates to receiving, stock requisitions and credits.

Stores materials in warehouses and obtains proper paperwork authorizing storage from other departments for non-inventory assets.

Fills orders and issues supplies upon receipt of approved requisition, or transfer request.

Delivers materials to user departments. Verifies correctness of orders with receiving departments and obtains authorized signature on Warehouse transfer receipt.

Obtains required signatures on receipts, bills of lading and maintains required reports and records.

Makes special mail deliveries and pickups as assigned.

Operates company vehicles and materials handling equipment in a safe manner as assigned.

Keeps warehouse buildings and grounds clean and orderly.

Uses extreme care in the handling, issuing, storing, retrieving and disposing of stored files.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School graduate or equivalent preferred

Two years warehouse experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

Good mathematical and clerical aptitude

Literate and fluent in English

Valid drivers' license; must be able to be insured to operate company vehicles.

Ability to operate trucks with manual transmission and be able to pass a medical examination for certification through Nevada.

Ability to act in situations of urgency.

Ability to effectively communicate with diverse departments.

Ability to lead.

Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.

Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTALDEMANDS:

Ability to constantly lift large, heavy objects weighing up to 60 lbs.

Ability to frequently lift large, heavy objects weighing 60-90 lbs.

Ability to occasionally lift large, heavy objects weighing 90+ lbs.

Visual field must include near to far distances.

Mobility to move easily around the warehouse areas.

Ability to read and write.

Ability to grasp, hold, bend, reach.

Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift.

Auditory range must include immediate environment.

Ability to climb stairs.

Ability to frequently work in extreme indoor temps.

Ability to occasionally work in extreme outdoor temps.

Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
