SUMMARY
CTI Ready Mix is looking for a self-motivated and experienced truck driver to deliver concrete in the Des Moines metro area. A Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement is required. $25 per hour to start...$27 per hour after 1 year. Top of pay scale after 2 years!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive a mixer truck to and from job sites delivering concrete to customers.
- Follow dispatch guidelines and instructions.
- Inspect concrete prior to delivery for product at the point of delivery.
- Ensure customer is satisfied with the product at the point of delivery.
- Assemble concrete chute and attach chute to the back of truck.
- Wash out truck and replace chute on truck after delivery.
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip safety inspection on equipment and the truck to ensure a safe vehicle.
- Assist mechanics in performing minor and capable maintenance on CMVs.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures by wearing appropriate safety equipment and use excellent safety practices while visiting job sites per company policies.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Class A or B CDL with Air Brakes endorsement required (must maintain valid CDL while employed).
- Valid MVR (must pass DOT driver record check).
- Must pass post conditional offer of employment drug screen.
- Must meet the DOT physical requirements and always carry a valid Medical Exam Certificate.
- Mixer Truck experience preferred.
