Job Title: Courier/Clerk-Phlebotomist FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary

Drives to various locations to pick up specimens, and deliver reports and small items.

Essential Functions

Drives to clients' sites to perform venipuncture, pick up previously collected specimens, and deliver reports.

Maintains adequate stocks of supplies at clients' locations.

Maintains accurate logs and maintenance records of laboratory vehicles.

Enters requisitions into hospital information system in a timely and accurate manner.

Performs limited clerical functions as necessary.

Agrees to comply with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, rules, regulations, and standards of conduct relating to the position and has a duty to report any suspected violations of the law or the standards of conduct to his or her immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Chief Executive Officer.

Qualifications

Current PA drivers license in good standing.

High school graduate (GED). Actual working experience in a clinical setting to learn proper blood collection techniques desirable. Computer skills for reporting results.

Working Conditions

Subject to common road hazards. May be exposed to infectious body fluids during the collection

procedures.

Location + a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or

+ a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.
