Promethean is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Program Management Intern. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in project management, with a focus on Scrum methodology and Agile frameworks. The intern will work closely with the Program Management Office to support the planning, execution, and delivery of projects. This position will support the team's goal of ensuring that our engineering programs are aligned to business goals and operate smoothly while following the Project and Systems Development Life Cycles
As a Program Manager Intern you will...
- Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Work with the product and program managers toidentify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- When necessary, serve as a Scrum Master to facilitate daily stand-up meetings and sprint retrospectives.
- Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and ticket hygiene is complete.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project and program increment success.
- Monitor program increment progress and provide regular status updates to project stakeholders as required.
- Support the product and program management team in the development of project documentation.
- Enable proactive communication in collaboration with functional Directors and Managers to assure progress towards achieving program milestones and goals.
- Have the aptitude to quickly grasp complex technical issues and communicate directly with technical teams.
- Partner with stakeholders across TMP (Technology, Marketing and Product) to ensure programs and offerings are aligned to support business objectives.
- Participate in cross-team program activities including incremental cross-team planning events, Scrum of Scrums, Cross-Team Syncs, Retrospectives and Inspect and Adapt Workshops, and other alignment sessions.
- Identify opportunities for optimizing and improving the delivery of Promethean's Program Management Lifecycle.
- Work with the project teams to track and mitigate project progress, risks, impediments, and dependencies.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in amaster's degree program in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in project management, with a focus on Scrum methodology and Agile frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated success in working independently and as part of a team, providing multiple solutions to problems, and effectively integrating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates exceptional program management and organizational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Smartsheet, Atlassian Jira and Confluence applications.
- Strong collaborator with a knack for bringing people and teams together towards a common goal.
Hourly Range: $30 - $32
