he Portfolio Manager works closely with the Chief Investment Officer and with advisors to manage Retirement Ally investment accounts. Duties include day to day recommendations of portfolio changes and implementation of those changes for Brokers Financials’ Retirement Ally program. This role will be responsible to monitor economic trends and market conditions to effectively position portfolios and maximize returns. The Portfolio Manager will also create reports on investment activity and performance to effectively communicate conditions and changes with advisors via marketing pieces and presentations in person or on-line.

Essential Job Functions, other duties assigned

  • Manage day to day investment policy for Brokers Financial’s Retirement Ally program. Responsible for portfolio changes do to changing economic and market conditions and implementing those changes across the model lineup. Duties include overall platform trading, reporting, and marketing pieces to support overall changes and performance to the advisors. The Portfolio Manager will also be a resource for advisors to explain market conditions and reasons for changes.
  • Create and maintain and investment scoring program for all Mutual Funds, ETFs, Individual Stock investments, Annuities, and Retirement Plans to assist in selecting the best investments possible for the product lineup.
  • Member of investment committee involved in the research and design of internal portfolio offerings, due diligence review for privately traded securities, and other new investment agreements. Duties include performing investment research encompassing all elements of investing (asset classes, asset allocation, returns, projections, etc.). Responsible for the preparation of materials and will assist with the overall decision to add products to our platform including but not limited to all new Alternative agreements, TAMPs, and MF/VA/VUL’s. Maintain knowledge of current market conditions and investment strategies to communicate effectively with Brokers Financial representatives.
  • Develop strong business relationships with the Investment Advisory Team, and members of the Compliance, Operations and Accounting teams ensure day to day decisions are in the best interest of the overall firm.
  • In this role you will design custom Retirement Ally portfolio solutions for advisors and their clients using asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk management and other related investment skills using illustration software from Riskalyze, Morningstar, or Advisory World.

Experience and Education

  • Must have prior Securities industry experience. At least 2 years working directly with a broker-dealer, RIA or insurance. Knowledge of multiple clearing firm platforms (TD Ameritrade, Schwab, and Pershing), and Access. Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College and 2 -3 years related experience and/or training; or 4 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Series 65/66 and a CFA designation or working toward one.
