Position: Event Coordinator, Customer Care; Cheer and Dance Event Competitions

Related Field: Sports Event Management and Marketing

Candidate MUST have experience and/or knowledge of the cheerleading industry. Ideal candidate enjoys being in the industry of cheerleading and dance. This is a remote position, however, candidate must be able to dedicate their day to this position. There should be at home/work place without distractions during the season. June through September are extremely flexible and less time.

Cheer & Dance Extreme is a leading event planner of cheer and dance competitions. Events take place on the East Coast with concentrations in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. This position is a remote work from home position along with travel to hosted events. Events are one-day or two-day events typically hosted on a Saturday, Sunday or both days. Travel to the event typically occurs on Friday. Departure from the event is same day or next day. Knowledge of the Cheer and/or Dance industry is preferred but not required. Travel to events is required. Events are mid-November through mid-May which is considered our "in-season". The "off-season" is considered June, July, August and part of September.

IDEAL CANDIDATE LIVES WITHIN THE MID ATLANTIC REGION AREA IN WHICH EVENTS TAKE PLACE.

The Event Coordinator - Customer Care, under the direction of the owners or Event Director, ensures the growth and quality operation of Cheer and Dance Extreme (CDE) by organizing and managing the various activities. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can work independently and in a team format. Strong communication skills is a must. All travel expenses are paid for by company. Salary will be discussed with the ideal candidate please inquire if interested.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Triages calls and emails for events.
  • Update and manage documents as it relates to events.
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance the event experience for our customers.
  • Send out emails when necessary to customers for follow-up; ensure top customer-service is being delivered.
  • Prepares event related registration spreadsheets to prepare for events.
  • Provide administrative support when needed to prepare for events.
  • Leader in day of event logistics with Event Planning Team
  • Attend competitions and fulfill duties as they arise.
  • Contacts current / previous customers of the Brand regarding upcoming & current season.

Requirements

  • Detailed oriented with ability to follow a checklist.
  • Knowledge of cheerleading industry either as a competitor; industry experience; coach; parent
  • Strong communicator, with excellent verbal skills
  • Confident with social media platforms; email communications
  • Motivated and able to work independently.
  • Able to multi-task & prioritize workload responsibilities.
  • Highly proficient with computers, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Email platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
