Electro/Mechanical Technician Cheshire, CT. Associate operates in on-site capacities as per the production and field support demand of the Devices and Systems departments. Duties include building, installing and repairing equipment, and training end users on how to maintain systems for and its customers. Performs quality control of equipment to ensure performance rates and compliance with established specifications. Possesses knowledge and ability across mechanical, electrical and IT fields as applicable to various gas systems and devices. This high level technician must also be able to effectively communicate the purpose and value of these systems with a variety of clientele. Possesses knowledge to provide technical support to end users. Works under moderate supervision. Technical ability to assemble, repair, and maintain all systems Electrical/Mechanical expertise in installing, maintaining, testing and troubleshooting equipment Ability to differentiate and resolve equipment, electrical mechanical and IT related issues providing root causes and mitigation actions. Liaison with Production, Management, Engineering, IT and safety personnel at all sites Ability to efficiently plan and execute all service requirements in the field while implementing new installs. Provide technical service support via phone and email Diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of electrical components, assemblies, or systems. High school diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree in a technical field a plus) 1+ years’ experience assembling electro/mechanical devices and equipment. 1+ years’ experience installing and maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing complex technical systems. 1+ years’ experience with industrial controls, computer and PLC networks, set up and assistance a plus High attention to detail, and ability to interpret intricate drawings and instruction manuals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
