The ideal candidate will have their CPA and 10+ years of experience, with a demonstrated ability to drive strategic financial planning and implementation. Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Controller, you will be responsible for leading the accounting operations of the company, which include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.

1. Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
2. Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and projections to senior management.
3. Manage the company's financial and budgetary planning.
4. Coordinate the company's annual audit and tax filings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
5. Implement and maintain a robust contracts management and financial management/ERP system, ensuring that the system is utilized to its fullest potential.
6. Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
7. Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
8. Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong understanding of accounting and financial management principles, excellent strategic planning skills, and a keen eye for detail.

1. Must have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
2. A minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a leadership role.
3. Demonstrated experience in budgeting and strategic planning.
4. Proficient in tax filings and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
5. Experience in assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
6. Proven experience with ERP System Implementation, ideally with Epicor.
7. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and procedures.
8. Experience in designing and implementing internal controls.
9. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
10. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
