Product Manager: Co-Products & Ethanol

Location :

Based in Decatur, IL

GM - Commodities

Role purpose :

You will technically position our products for the compound feed, pet food and aqua feed industries, in order to maximi z e the return of these products. You will develop and implement successful marketing strategies, combining scientific and economical insights. You will coach and train the sales managers in order to achieve the marketing strategy. You will drive international product improvement or development projects and collaborate intensively with colleagues from R&D, Quality, Process engineering and Sales. You will prepare, execute and manage your various projects, involving our customers. You will capitalize upon your excellent understanding of the feed industry and nutritional challenges by effective networking. You will stay on top of recent nutritional and formulation know-how and share this knowledge with the Account Managers.

Main accountabilities :

  • The product manager will be responsible for technical management and market development of T&L's global co-product range.
  • The PM partners with sales management to explore and develop our existing and new go to market routes.
  • Identifies and follows market developments, reports these to the sales team and identifies opportunities within these developments for new sales /market projects.
  • Supports the development of the global co-product business and product pricing strategy.
  • Manages the development of training and marketing tools for internal and external customers.
  • Owns project initiatives and drives them to successful completion.
  • Finds alignment with our global operational management, quality, and supply chain departments to support and help progress continuous improvement projects in our manufacturing plants to create added value for the plants.


Skills And Experience Required :

Bachelor / Master's degree (agriculture/nutrition) ;

Minimum 5 years' experience in technical sales, marketing or product development for the feed market;

Fluent in English, any other languages are an asset;

Self -starting, result-driven ;

Creative , long - term vision, but also pragmatic and effective;

Able to achieve results by working in teams, communicator;

Well -developed project management skills;

Willing to travel (20 -3 0%).
