QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Merchandise Planning
• Strong Retail Math acumen
• Excellent Computer skills, proficient in MS Office Suite and highly skilled in MS Excel
• Proficient in planning and reporting systems, Microstrategy and Oracle experience is a plus
• Experience forecasting sales, margin, and inventory
• Should have the aptitude of working in a team and taking decisions based on study and evaluation
• Works well under pressure
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strategic thinking and active listening skills
• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be organized, detail- oriented, and able to work independently

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pre Season Planning:

• Align with and make recommendations to Merchandising regarding seasonal flow strategies
• Create sales, margin, and inventory plans in accordance with company goals
• Work closely with Merchandising team to align on department strategies, buy plans, and key initiatives
• Perform hindsight analysis to identify future sales driving opportunities
• Collaborate with allocation partners to identify and action opportunities to increase sales and improve inventory use across store segments
• Contribute plans to cross-department seasonal set financial recaps
• Present financial analysis and forecasts to company leaders

In Season Planning:

• Be the owner of inventory strategy for area of responsibility, including:
• Weekly reforecasting of sales, margin, and inventory for area of responsibility
• Identify areas of sales risk/opportunity and work closely with Merchant partner to address
• Communicate and align with stakeholders on forecast changes (Merchandising, Allocation, Planning Leadership)
• Review and align on open to buy budget weekly with Merchandising partners
• Collaborate closely with allocation partners in weekly meeting on store inventory levels
