Overview:

Provide operational assistance and support to the Food and Beverage Manager.  Set agendas and guidelines for training, purchasing, budgeting, staffing, inventory, and cost controls.


Responsibilities:
  • Support Cedar Fair Cornerstone philosophies of safety, service, cleanliness, courtesy, and integrity.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary environment at all times in accordance with state, local health regulations.
  • Must meet Cedar Fair professional grooming standards.
  • Must adhere to department scheduling requirements.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to maximize profits.
  • Ability to analyze various types of data in order to make decisions that will improve quality, budget compliance and department efficiency.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standards exist.
  • Oversee all staffing requirements while insuring proper shift coverage to achieve budget goals.
  • Appraise quality assurance to maintain high standards and provide optimum service.
  • Train and delegate effectively while being a highly visible presence in the park.
  • Effectively carry out all other duties, functions, and responsibilities as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Provides assistance and guidance to all seasonal staff members.
  • Ensures Cash control - reviewing over/shorts, divisional loss prevention, and daily sales reconciliation.
  • Interviews, hires, trains, motivates and supervises seasonal employees.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the outdoors in extreme weather conditions and walk on concrete or asphalt for long periods of time.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and knowledge in culinary arts, or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in a fast-paced amusement park or similar quick service restaurant with heavy sales volume.
  • ServSafe certified.
