Summary? 

Per Sé Group is hiring a full-time employee for a 2,600 megawatt supercritical coal-fired power station in Cheshire, Ohio.  Mechanical Engineer is responsible for performing entry and intermediate level engineering work activities, requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe and responsible manner.  

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work in a fast pace complex environment, in both an individual and team capacity.
  • Provide technical guidance with respect to all plant activities to ensure compliance with all appropriate local, state, and federal environmental control regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Act, and other applicable laws and regulations
  • Support all plant Safety & Environmental Policies and Procedures
  • Promote a continuous improvement culture where energy is utilized to identify and improve business g
  • Ability to lead process evaluations, including materials, temperatures, flow, and pressures, involving gases, fluids and solids.  (pumps, conveyors, valves, steam generators, rotating equipment (turbines, fans, centrifuges, pugmills)
  • Provides support in development of work scopes associated with scheduled and non-scheduled outages. 
  • Ability to lead maintenance or project improvement opportunities
  • Conduct results engineering, including conducting performance tests, analyzing operating data, and developing operational plans and equipment recommendations to optimize performance and profitability.
  • Responsible for NERC compliance at site level.? 

Preferred Skills and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or the equivalent in training or experience. 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in power plant operations and maintenance required. , AutoCAD, Asset Suite, Primavera (P6)
  • General knowledge of ASME, AWS, AISC, and HEI
  • Experience with OPIsoft (PI) and AMS Machinery Manager
