Job Description
The Sub-Assembler will focus on assembly and installation of consoles, hardware components, bilge system, water, hydraulic & fuel fittings, hoses, tanks and connections. Further, Sub-Assemblers perform electrical assembly of consoles, installs and connect electrical wiring and components followed by inspection of all installed parts.
Qualifications
Experienced with and able to use hand tools varying from a tape measure, razor knives, screw gun, drill and a ratchet
Previous experience as an Assembler in a Boat Building environment is highly preferred
Must be able to regularly Lift/Push/Pull battery weights of 50 lbs. without assistance
Must have ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing as a minimum includes stairs, scaffolding, ladders and ramps) to access boats and boat equipment
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment including working in the sun
Must be able to work independently while staying on task
Must be able to solve problems with little assistance
Must have an attention to detail and the ability to identify defects
Previous assembly experience is preferred
Physical Requirements:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, protective suits, dusts masks and respirators.
The employee is regularly required to be on their feet; occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Constant use of hands/hand tools for assembly, fine manipulation, inspecting parts, and/or machine operating. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Employees must be able to work a 10-hour shift or more in one workday, including planned and unplanned overtime.
Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be moderate to loud and is non-climate controlled.
