A leading acute care hospital located in southeastern New York is now searching for an experienced Nurse Manager Emergency Department to join their award-winning healthcare team.

This acute care facility was founded over one hundred years ago and today houses nearly 400 licensed beds and offers a wide variety of medical and surgical services. This state-of-the-art medical center provides a number of patient care services including behavioral health, oncology services, cardiopulmonary and vascular services, emergency and critical care, radiology services, maternity and pediatric care, wound and home care, and much more.

Reporting to the Service Line Director, the Nurse Manager Emergency Department will oversee all clinical and administrative operations of the newly renovated and expanded emergency center. This department is designated as a Level III Trauma Center and treats more than 800 trauma cases each year in addition to thousands of emergency patients. The Nurse Manager has oversight of department staffing, participates in recruitment, monitors and evaluates staff performance, develops training plans, implements departmental policies and procedures, works to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, manages department budgets, and participates in various hospital committees.

What Makes You Awesome:

  • Registered Nurse RN license in the state of New York or ability to obtain
  • Prior nursing experience in an inpatient emergency department setting
  • Prior leadership experience in similar nursing setting
