Aerospace Filtration Division (AFD) Business Profile: With over 85 years of experience, Parker AFD manufactures and sells products that filter, purify, and remove water from hydrocarbon fuels, oils and other fluids. INTERNSHIP SUMMARY

Parker has an opportunity for a Supply Chain student seeking a 2024 Summer Internship at our Aerospace Filtration Division based in Greensboro, NC. The internship will provide training and exposure to supply chain and customer service fundamentals and best practices in a manufacturing environment. This position will report directly to the Division Supply Chain Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Communicate with suppliers regarding order status and reschedules

* Prepare supplier scorecard and analyze key metrics

* Reporting, data maintenance, and analysis

* Customer Order Entry and status updates

* Interact with engineering, accounting, quality, operations and other functional areas as necessary

* Perform all other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:

* Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien

* Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or Operations Management program

* At minimum, a Junior status or higher with 3.0 GPA or higher

* Candidates must be able to obtain local housing to commute daily to the facility

* Must be able to work 30 - 40 hours a week in the summer

* Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities; able to work independently

* Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Power BI)

* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts
