Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Our busy Kalamazoo Cardiology office is searching for an experienced, part-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our diagnostic staff. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional and self-directed. The applicant must possess excellent communication and problem solving skills. Must have the ability to accurately interpret data definitions and communicate both verbally and in writing. Salary commensurate with experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program.
• Registered nuclear medicine technologist, or registry eligible.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
• Ability to communicate in an effective and pleasant manner
• Certification in Basic Life Support preferred, or obtained within three months of hire

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare and administer nuclear medicine isotopes with compliance to NRC, State DEQ, and any other local governmental regulations, ICANL recommendations and office protocols.
• Perform quality diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging with compliance to NRC, State DEQ, and any other local governmental regulations, ICANL recommendations and office protocols. Follow all camera QC as written indicated by office policy and procedures, and GE standards
• Assist in performing other diagnostic testing.
• Prepare studies for interpretation by physicians and assure that resuls are distributed in a timely fashion.
