Pharmacy Technician

Wood Dale Pharmacy is looking for certified pharmacy technicians. Must be good with mathematics, calculations and customer service and enjoy working in a lab type setting

Principal Responsibilities:

• Become the dosage solution expert that helps make medicine time easy and stress free for pets by creating dosage forms such as TINY Capsules, Flavored Soft Chews, Flavored Oral Suspensions and more.

Previous compounding experience is not needed and training will be provided. Training includes:

• Practice of pharmaceutical compounding and the process of compounding medications such as capsules, chews treats, flavored liquid suspensions, etc. for animals.
• Process of entering prescriptions into the pharmacy software and processing refills as requested by patients.
• Shipping orders as outlined by the pharmacist on duty.
• Checking and maintaining inventory of Pharmacy stock per pharmacy policies.
• Collect payment and file prescription orders.
• Complete tasks assigned to maintain cleanliness of the Pharmacy and its equipment.
• Other duties that may be assigned.

This position is for someone who enjoys learning new pharmaceutical skills in a lab setting with an eye for attention to detail and emphasizes precision and accuracy.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Pharmacy technician experience: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (Required)
