Summary of Position: The Design Engineer, Electromechanical is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electromechanical systems and components. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative solutions that meet project objectives and industry standards. Essential Functions: Customer Collaboration: Engage with customers to deeply understand their needs, with the goal of designing solutions that elevate our products System Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design and develop electromechanical systems, products, and components. Conduct feasibility studies, research, and prototyping to validate design concepts. Create detailed statements of work (SOW), technical drawings, and installation instructions that resonate with customer requirements Prototyping: Leverage a hands-on approach in developing prototypes and proofs-of-concept, including developing test plans and procedures to validate the performance, reliability, and safety of the systems Integration: Ensure smooth incorporation of solutions into our product lines, collaborating with cross-functional teams Technical Support: Provide consistent support and expertise during the solution implementation phase to assure reliability and efficiency, including troubleshooting and maintenance: identify and resolve systems issues through troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques. Develop preventative maintenance plans to ensure long-term reliability Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and assessment to certify the durability and performance of solutions Industry Insight: Remain informed on the latest advancements in mechanical, electrical, and cooling systems to sustain our competitive advantage Collaborative Spirit: Encourage a team environment that is rooted in innovation and continuous betterment, including collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and software engineers to achieve project goals. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This Role is spent in the field (more than 51% of the time) there will be travel involved as well as working from the home office. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine, and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 25lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.
