• Ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure, and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field

• Assist in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior, during and after surgical procedure

• Monitor surgical supplies for sterility prior to use and ensures that supplies are used in a judicious manner, charges are documented/submitted accurately and appropriately

• Responsible for preparing the surgical room including set-up of operating room by sterilizing and laying out of necessary surgical instruments prior to surgery, assists as needed during procedures

• Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and standards

• Perform any and all other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of surgical technology
• Surgical Technician Certification

Preferred Job Requirements

• One (1) year of surgical scrub experience
