Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for consistently ensuring high standards ofguest experience, safety, and financial performance of the concession's operations at the Branson RecPlex.With oversight of day-to-day management, responsibilities include but are not limited to: cash handling procedures, inventory management, practicing safe food handling, and supervision of seasonal concession staff. The ability to handle stress, remain composed under pressure, and manage conflict is crucial.The ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays is required. This position works under the general supervision of the Recreation Operations Manager.

WORK LOCATION: Rec Plex, City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Graduation from a college, university, or institution of higher learning regionally accredited through the U.S. Department of Education with a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or a similar field is required.

o Directly related full-time work experience, as determined by the Department Director, of four (4) or more years of full-time employment in Hospitality Management or a similar role may be substituted for formal education or training.

Five (5) years of fast-paced hospitality, kitchen, or restaurant/concession experience is required.

State Food Safety Handler certificate must be obtained within six (6) months of start date is required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING

At least two (2) years of experience as a manager or supervisor in a fast-paced hospitality, kitchen, or restaurant/concession environment is preferred.

MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be willing to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must be highly engaged in the department's goals and be able to work cooperatively with leadership in achieving those goals.

Must possess a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Must demonstrate excellent customer service to the department's internal or external customers.

Basic math skills are required; ability to accurately handle money and count change.

Must possess a valid Driver's License and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.

Must act safely and follow safety standards while at work.

Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.
